Besancon France Pizza Review
I got really lost on the way to a business meeting in Besancon, France. I stopped at the resteraunt "Station Pizza" to ask for directions, and have a taste of the local French Pizza. Upon entering the "Station Pizza" I was kindly greeted by Bernard. We discussed currency for a minute or two because I did not have Euros or French Francs, only Swiss Francs and U.S. dollars. I learned that "Station Pizza" accepts the true international currency; Visa.

When I tried to sit down and order my pizza Bernard requested that I follow him through this door with a picture of my favorite food on it. At first I thought this was a little strange, but as the old saying goes " When in France do what the French guy that owns the resteraunt asks you to do"

After passing through the door and walking down a short hall there was a very private and nice area with dining tables. Bernard asked me to sit at one of the tables and then showed me a menu written on a chaulk board... there was no pizza on the menu. Of course I inquired about pizza at least three times but Bernard wanted me to have Pork in a curry sauce with rice and vegitables. A very nice couple at the next table helped explain the items on the menu... so I gave up on trying to buy pizza and had a nice French meal. Like the old saying goes "When in France do what the French guy that owns the resteraunt tells you to do". Pictured at the bottom is Bernard and the cook. Bernard informed me that this was not his wife.

Comment: I am sure that the pizza at "Station Pizza" is very good but I did not have a chance to eat it. Maybe I will have a chance on my next visit to Besancon...
