Rating Pizza
Of course, our pizza rating system is like any rating system, it is highly subjective. Our rating system looks at seven of the most important factors that create a good pizza. They are the crust, the cheese, the sauce, the toppings, the presentation, the ambiance, and an overall rating. Below is a brief description for each rating category. Our ratings are a number from 1 to 10 (10 = Best).
The Crust
A good crust is critical for makeing a good pizza. Good pizza crust is fresh, evenly cooked, and tases good. Sometimes the a good crust is a meal in itself.
The Cheese
Cheese must be evenly spread on the pizza and must have a good, fresh taste.
The Sauce
Sauce made from fresh ripe tomato's is especailly good on pizza. However, if there is too little you can't taste it and if there is too much it can be overwelhming. We do understand the some "modern" pizzas don't have a sauce.
The Toppings
Of course, good portions of fresh toppings can turn a good pizza into an exceptional pizza.
The Presentation
When the pizza comes to the table does it look so good that you have to grab a piece and eat it right away? Sometimes the pizza looks so good that you feel guilty eating it.
The Ambiance
To a great extent, the enjoment of eating pizza depends on the ambiance that it is offered in. We all know that pizza in a dive in New York or Tokyo can be just as special as the pizza on a side street in Florence....and how do these compare to a take home pizza.
Overall
When all is said and done, how good was the pizza eating experience. Of course all pizza eating is good so a 1= good and a 10=extra, exceptionally, fantastic, great.
